This Privacy Policy explains how Recipe Hound handles information when you use the app.

Overview

Recipe Hound is designed to help you extract clean recipes from webpages with minimal friction. It is built to work without creating an account and without collecting personal data for advertising or analytics.

Information We Collect

We do not collect personal information directly through Recipe Hound.

Recipe Hound does not include:

  • Third-party advertising SDKs
  • Third-party analytics SDKs
  • In-app account registration
  • Cross-app tracking

Information Stored on Your Device

Recipe Hound stores app data locally on your device to provide core functionality, including:

  • Saved recipes and recent extraction history
  • App settings and onboarding preferences
  • Duplicate-detection metadata and lightweight extraction diagnostics

This local data remains on your device unless you remove the app or clear your device data.

Webpage Access and Recipe Extraction

When you use the share extension, Recipe Hound processes the webpage content you choose to share in order to extract recipe information.

In some cases, if the source app shares only a URL and not the full page content, Recipe Hound may request that webpage directly from the source site so it can attempt recipe extraction.

This processing is used only to generate the recipe result you requested. Recipe Hound does not run a separate backend service to collect or store shared webpages.

Exports and Sharing

Recipe Hound can copy recipe text to the clipboard or export recipes through Apple system sharing flows, including sharing to Notes or other apps you choose.

Once you export content to another app or service, that content is handled under that app or service's own terms and privacy policy.

Tracking

Recipe Hound does not track you across apps or websites and does not use Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework for advertising purposes.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data.

Because Recipe Hound does not directly collect personal data, we do not share personal data with third-party advertisers or data brokers.

Children's Privacy

Recipe Hound does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top indicates when the latest changes were made.
